Why is this Government spouting hot air on the subject of 'real help for small businesses'?
As a director of an SME, employing 12 people, we have approached our Bank, with whom we have banked for over 30 years, for a working capital loan, under your ( much lauded ) EFG scheme. Imagine our disapointment when we were told we were not eligible for this particular scheme, however, we could have a standard bank loan, providing the Directors offered 100% guarantee and at an interest rate in excess of 10% PA!! When is an SME eligible for the EFG?
