Question
Question
London Summit Outcomes.
, I would like to see a broad recognition that government intervention remains the problem NOT the solution. Like turkies voting for Christmas I see people all over the world falling for the old trick of governments blaming the private sector for problems politicians themselves have created through the boom-bust economics of fiat money inflation and ill conceived (and incompetently performed) statist intervention. I fear that journey on The Road To Serfdom, paved with decent, honest and heartfelt (but hopelessly naïve) good intentions is now almost irreverisble. Socialists require nothing but equality, eventhough that inevitably means equality in misery.

and to add...by all means regulate the financial industry, but please have the decency to employ people who are competent, not the kind of 'tick-box' technocrats who force 80 year-old widows to give three forms of ID merely to take money from a bank-account they've had for 60 years, whilst at the same time regulators cannot even come close to understanding the risk that the shadow-banking-system represented to the world economy (as many in the private sector did, and drew attention to it, only to have their warnings fall on the deaf ears of a government who liked looking smug as house prices rocketed and voters felt happy - house price inflation is the opium that kept an incompetent government in power). Don't pretend we need MORE regulation when the regulations we have are implemented by incompetent fools.
