They normally experience a very lengthy wait while their ideas are considered and then supported by government. It does happen eventually, and in fact the UK is strong in this area. However, business people who have to support families measure progress in terms of months, even weeks. They need start up funding immediately and above all, they need national and local government to buy their services quickly. But quick procurement is at odds with the risk averse nature of government. We are entering deep recession- do you have a proposal to radically speed up support and custom given to social entrepreneurs- say emergency legislation?" Show less »
